So true, Colleen. Yes, we have to try to find light and give it as a gift as a prayer to others. And maybe we fight these fires. I loved your poem too. Took me with you back to your childhood. Just so beautiful ❤️
I agree. So Very Much!! I just finished a piece that will go out tomorrow. A little lengthy (something I’m working on) but offering a starting place for how to first Resource ourselves; acknowledging that we first Must do so in order to ‘fight the fires.’ Xo
Colleen, so happy to find you in my inbox. So, so happy. And your words, like our brief interaction in the past, they feel so familiar and good. Healthy for my overactive mind and searching heart. I could say so much about different parts of this letter... beginning with the fact that I understand this dual feeling for mice! And thank you for sharing this: "Mark had us consider that we are a part of the world’s body; each individual person, one cell in the whole of the world’s global body. And isn’t this a thought? Paired with his prior premise, that would mean each one of us is as a cell in ‘health’ contributes to the wellness of the world." Yes, each time that I refind health in body, but even more mind and heart, I am of service. When my doubt takes over and my desire to contribute to something greater, I return to this. How I show up matters. To myself, even for one other person, like when I messaged my yoga student this morning to offer reminders. Not bc she paid me, but bc this fills both of us with this light. Contribution, service, connection. It happens everytime we remember that taking care of our health is enough to make the world move forward with a bit more light and therefore a bit less darkness. Thank you for your light today. Thank you for taking care of you. I send you so much love. 💕🌟💕
@Dani!!♥️✨♥️ Sooo Lovely to see your name & read your sweet, Generous words!! Of course you are aligned with Mark Nepo. Thank You for taking the time to comment & let me know my words brought light to you. And yours to me, friend. ✨ And this is one way we keep our wells full. Xoxxo
“The opposite of trauma is choice”, I like that.
I did too! It’s not the whole story but a super key component. Glad it resonated.
