A walking labyrinth is yummy to me. I’ve practiced with labyrinths for about 14 years (since my elder daughter was born). My planned excursions are nourishing… But when I happen upon an unexpected labyrinth???? 🤩✨🌟💫💛 It feels like kismet, like a gift from the universe, like an invitation I must accept, and gladly.

A warm rice sock is awesome. My daughters love them, too.

Archery has calmed my nervous system. The repetitive action and sense of satisfaction thru improving at a skill has been soul-filling.

Wow-just noticing this lovely comment & these delightful rituals/practices. I actually have a labyrinth in my backyard.☺️Just a figure 8, but surrounds a tiny pond at one end & tree at the other.

I Loveee a warm rice sock!! It’s been a while but you’re reminding me I used to use them all the time! I’d use a room temp 😂 one too- place it on my diaphragm for belly breathing.

That is so intriguing about the Archery. One of my brothers & one of my sons used to practice. I could see where the intense focus needed, the alignment, breath, and so on could be almost meditative. And like you said, satisfying as you improve too!

I recently listened to an audiobook by Clarissa Pinkola Estes where she talked about creation being the opposite of depression. I had never heard that before, but it really resonated. Thanks for the tips.

I haven’t heard of this author. I will definitely check her out. Funny, I know I didn’t invent this connection, but couldn’t really attribute to where I’d picked it up when asked by another therapist if they could steal it. lol I said “sure, it’s not really mine to begin with, but then is anything exclusively Ours? We stand on the backs of each other…those here now, and most esp. those who came before.” Obviously, if I’m using someone’s direct quote &/or were talking about an artistic piece of prose, I’m gonna give credit. Still try to, but your share here really shows how information flows from many sources. (As I’ve never heard of this woman. ;-)
